"i believe in pink, i believe that laughing is the best calorie-burner, i believe in kissing; kissing a lot, i believe in staying strong when everything seems to be going wrong, i believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls, i believe that tomorrow is another day, & most importantly i believe in miracles"-Audrey Hepburn

New Year New Beginnings...

okay now to the point...

I need to vent about a certain little issue that is REALLY bothering me...

What is the deal with New Year's Resolutions? I HATE them. Since every college girl's natural resolution is to lose weight or stay in shape, I can't get on any equipment at the gym because it has been so packed! I have never seen these girls in the gym before and now they decide to come make it inconvenient for the rest of us who have been working out there for months? ahhhhhhh! and I guess everyone also has a resolution to not skip any classes this semester because it is impossible to find a parking space and get to class on time! I almost drop kicked a guy over a spot the other morning which FYI is not a good start to your day. Fortunately no one really ever sticks to their New Years Resolutions which means that everything will be back to normal by the end of the month. :)

Things I learned in 2009:

  • Auburn will never have enough parking for students.
  • Blue powerade is a necessity after a long night out drinking.
  • No amount of "advice giving" will prevent a person from making bad decisions or repeating your miatakes. You have to learn on your own no matter how much pain it brings you.
  • Dave Matthews will never get old.
  • Confidence is sexy. No matter who you are or what you look like.
  • Old habits die hard...
  • If you aren't happy with yourself, no one else will be happy with you either.
  • Having your heart broken isn't as bad as it sounds... it is way worse.
  • It is impossible to find love while you are in college.
  • Free People and French Connection will fill my closet for a long time.
  • The cure for a bad/stressful day is still, and will always be, a pedicure.
  • Being there just to listen to a friend's problems is more helpful than trying to give them advice. Silence is golden.
  • Your girlfriends are always there for you, no matter if you think you are all alone in the world.
  • If you think you are having major problems in your life look around... everyone around you is dealing with problems in their own lives that are just important.
  • No pair of heels is comfortable... but beauty is pain.
  • The tanning bed will age your face... and you will get mistaken for a cougar at the bar when in fact you are only 20... ;)
  • Family is everything.
  • People don't change unless they want to themselves. No matter how bad you try to make it happen.
  • Tattoos are not something you should get on a whim with your girlfriends!!!!!!
  • You grow distant from childhood friends... it is just a part of life as you grow older and go in seperate directions.
  • DUIs are expensive.
  • Things happen for mysterious reasons... and when  you think your life is coming to an end and you have hit rock bottom... the only way to go is up. Everything gets better in time.
  • Price doesn't matter when it comes to your wardrobe.
  • Going out to eat makes you waste money that you could be spending on your appearance or social outings.
  • eating out= getting fat and not eating=having more money for clothes and looking better in them :)
  • Every woman should love perfume. It's a necessity.
  • I can relate everything in my life to lyrics in a song.
  • Adderall is the best creation known to man.
  • Grey Goose is the best alcohol to drink.
  • Veggies to go is by far the best hangover food in Auburn... and Whispering Oaks is the best sunday lunch. ahh soul food.
  • I will NEVER be a good driver.
  • Some things fall apart so that other things can come together.
  • Desperate Housewives is the best show on TV
  • All girls should own lingerie. Even if no one else ever sees it... just to make yourself feel sexy.
